Prostate surgery or radiotherapy is often sufficient treatment for localised prostate cancer. Unfortunately some men have tumours found in their lymph nodes after their prostate surgery. The approaches to managing lymph node metastasis vary. A long-term study that measured survival rates for three different management strategies has recently been completed. We now have good evidence to compare the different options for treating men with post-operative lymph node metastasis.
