High-Intensity Focussed Ultrasound (HIFU) is a minimally-invasive treatment for localised prostate cancer. Although it's available in Australia, it's not a common choice, compared to radiotherapy or surgery. Evidence from a new study indicates that HIFU could be a treatment option for men with prostate cancer that returns after radiotherapy.
