An Australia-wide initiative to produce a National Cancer Atlas was announced earlier this year. Within this atlas, a prostate cancer-specific module will be generated, being the National Prostate Cancer Atlas. Researchers in the new Centre for Research Excellence in Prostate Cancer Survivorship are contributing to the Prostate Cancer Atlas. Their plan is to generate geographical maps of prostate cancer cases and their outcomes over all regions in Australia. This research will help uncover inequalities in the experience and outcomes of prostate cancer among Australian men.
